Hi,

I have had comcast cable, for internet, for years. About a year ago i had Directv installed for my tv. They connected into my comcast cable for on demand and other internet dependent service.

Worked great for the past year. A couple days ago my comcast internet goes down. I call comcast and they tell that the modem shows offline and that it is a modem or cable problem and that a serviceman needs to come out.

I go out and disconnect the cable where directv splits in and connect the comcast cable directly to the cable that goes to my modem....

No directv internet connection now. Problem solved. Of course now i have no directv ondemand. What would cause the directv comcast issue?
